“As I was playing from 8-10pm after Herbie Saccani and before Greg Wilson, it was nice to warm things up ready for the onslaught of big tunes later on in the proceedings.
“The tempo started at 109bpm and worked up to 125bpm…with some Hacienda classics, more current stuff and some special remixes and re-edits. One thing that I do regularly (that many people do not realise) is that I try to tell a vague kind of story when I DJ or prepare mixes.
“I remember preparing this set with a weird sense of foreboding, so I included many tunes in this mix that have special messages contained within. In these troubled times music has a special power to uplift us all and keep our spirits positively charged with love vibrations….I do hope you enjoy this journey.”
