With almost two years since its last UK concert, the anticipation for the return of Haçienda Classical. the acclaimed orchestral clubbing series with DJ Graeme Park, Manchester Camerata orchestra and special guests has remained high with our fifth annual fully sold out hometown Castlefield Arena event now set for September.

As concerts and events come around again, allowing us all to come together, The Hacienda can now announce its plans for its return from August Bank Holiday onwards.

Our first concert back on stage comes at Beyond The Tracks

Now entering its sixth year, Haçienda Classical has performed to audiences of well over half a million in person, with more reportedly tuning into its successful streams during 2020.

Bringing its new 2021 production to the events, the collaboration between The Haçienda, Manchester Camerata, DJ Graeme Park and musical director, Tim Crooks has proved remarkably enduring, especially with the set and production being updated each year.

Haçienda Classical will again include orchestral renditions of much loved classic club records from The Haçienda’s heritage, bringing new additions and arrangements of seminal tracks to the set, adding to the repertoire of the tracks the show has produced.

With Haçienda Classical at a mixture of outdoor, indoor, club and concert parties this year, our first outing for the new set comes with a seaside visit Sunday 29th August to Blackpool Cricket Club as part of an all day outdoor event.

With Castlefield Arena sold out for the fifth time in September, Haçienda Classical’s is back at Depot Mayfield with The Warehouse Project at the centre of a massive line up on Saturday 13th November which like 2019’s event will feature the best US and UK DJ’s and live acts in a bill characteristic of The Haçienda.

Matching the original club and warehouse elements of The Haçienda to the Classical experience for the first time in London, Haçienda Classical takes place at Printworks London Friday 15th October for its only date in the capital this year while Saturday 16th October sees it back to Glasgow for the third time at the SSE Hydro after some legendary nights there at our previous events.

Graeme Park commented; “After a year of frustration, I’m excited that Haçienda Classical is back to thrill the nation with positivity and love. I’ve never been more ready to return to the stage with the whole crew to share the joy with some big new songs as well as some massive favourites too. I’m pretty sure the country is ready to share the love too.

Tim Crooks added; “I’ve spent the past year thinking how incredible the post-lockdown gigs will feel, and the long wait is finally over. I can’t wait to feel the noise and see that pent-up energy explode. It’s going to be something very, very special…

Haçienda Classical see the set played as a continuous live DJ mix where vocalists, choir, orchestra and guests all combine creating a vibrant, powerful performance. For audiences, these inspirational nights have recreated the tunes that defined a generation for a whole new set of fans, renewing them and rearranging them with the orchestra and artists to create a special and unique experience.
